Neist Point Lighthouse

Neist Point Lighthouse is located on the most westerly point of Skye and is the most westerly point of Scotland you can drive to. The lighthouse was first lit in November 1909. The lighthouse is now a Category B listed building, and since 1990 it is now operated remotely from the Northern Lighthouse Board headquarters in Edinburgh.

The walk to the light house is a relatively easy 1.2 km hike compared to some of the other walks on Skye, albeit steep in places so please take care.
