Hidden away to the east of Uig is a landscape like something out of Lord of the Rings. This off-the-grid, miniature landscape is home to Castle Ewen, an easily accessible peak that resembles a ruin and is within a short walking distance of the road. Despite it's name and the many stories of fairies on Skye, the Fairy Glen has no tales of fairies that can be traced, it's name comes from the fairy tale landscape.
Visitors are asked to respect the country code and not move the stones as this can disrupt the natural landscape and grazing grounds of the resident sheep. Limited parking is available at the Glen so it is recommended that you park in Uig and make your way on foot, which is about a 30 minute walk.
